motorized shading

Homes and workspaces are designed with windows because we intuitively understand that sunlight adds a comforting, refreshing quality to any room. Daylight is an excellent source of task lighting and beautification, but incorporating it properly can present several challenges.

Uncontrolled daylight will create glare, solar heat gain and UV damage thus resulting in visual or thermal discomfort. By combining the benefits of ultra-quiet precision motorized shading and drapery with artificial lighting control, these discomforts are minimized while enhancing the functionality and longevity of your environment. In addition, the precision controlled shades help keep cooling costs down by blocking heat in the summer and keep heating costs down by insulating windows in winter.

We proudly specify and install the Lutron Sivoia QED® (Quiet Electronic Drive) shading family. Their product family includes roller shades, drapery track systems, skylight shades, and Roman shades that all operate with ultra-quiet precision low-voltage drives, while offering an incredible array of high durability and environmentally tested fabric choices. Have a specific fabric requirement or your own fabric, no problem. Custom materials can be tested to insure precision operation and durability for your exact use.

Fabric choice is critical to your projects success. Lutron offers three fabric categories: sheer, dim-out, and blackout, that are subdivided into additional families. Choose a fabric based on function when the priorities are maintaining views, ensuring privacy, or eliminating daylight.

If a space is multi-purpose or several priorities are equally important, consider a dual-mount application (two fabric rolls mounted on the same window). Another influence on fabric specification is the latitude and orientation of a project. These two factors impact the amount of sunlight, as well as the angle of the sun that enters the space.

Providing seamless control of natural and artificial lighting through a single intuitive control system is our specialty. Please look at some of our recent work in the project gallery then contact us for an on-site meeting or a personal tour of our demonstration home at your convenience.
